Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 12 June 2014 declared final result of Civil Service (Main) Examination 2013. A total of 1122 candidates have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’


Shri. GURAV ABHIJIT DILIP s/o Shri Dilip Gurav Branch Postmaster Gopalpur B.O. (Pune Region Maharashtra Circle) has declared successful in the said examination. He appeared under Roll No. 053189 and secured 672 Rank.

His Brother Shri Gajanan Dilip Gurav also working in DOP as Divisional System Administrator in Pandharpur Division Pandharpur (Pune Region)

The 8th All India conference of All India Gramin Dak Sevak Union (AIGDSU was held at Green Wood School in Warangal/ Hanumakonda A.P. Circle, from 8th to 10th June, 2014. The conference was held under the Presdentship of Shri M. Rajangam. The elections were unanimously held under the supervision of the said Shri M. Rajangam, Working President.

8th AIC of AIGDSU is opening grant spectacular and Marvellous

8th All India Conference of AIGDSU  opening is grand spectacular and Marvellous on 8th june 2014 at 10:30 AM Flag hoisting programme is celebrated. Com.B.V.Rao AGS & Circle Secretary A.P. hoisted the National Flag. Com. SS.Mahadevaiah General Secreatary hoisted the AIGDSU flag among the thundring claps and slogans of good gathering. 
                   
                   Sri Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Hon'ble Home Minister, Telangana state Inagurated the conference. The Hon'ble Home Minister and trade union leader of HMS Sri Nayini Narasimha reddy addressed the house and extended his solidarity to the justified strugules of  AIGDSU for the cause of GDS employees. Sri D.Vinay Bhaskar MLA Warangal West, Sri Challa Dharna Reddy MLA Parkal atteded and address the conference.After the inauguration, the subject committee meeting was started Com.SS.Mahadevaiah G/S placed the notice copy of 8th AIC before the house for approval.The house approved the agenda house unanimously.
                 A grand,Colorfull,  spectacular and marvellous procession was started from public Gardens, Hanumakonda and passed through the streets of Hanumakonda with more than 1000 GDS Comrades wearing red caps and ended at Arts college Auditorium.

              An open session was conducted at Arts college Auditorium under the presidentship of AIRF leader com.Yadavreddy, Com.B.N.Singh Ex.C/S P3 read the message of Sri T.Harish Rao, Hon'ble Minister of Assembly Affairs of Telangana State. 
                 Com. T.Narasimhan Working President of AITUC AP State inagurated the open session. Com P.Suresh G/S R4, Com Srinivas HMS leader, (AIRF), Com. B.G.Tamankar Ex.President NFPE, Com.G.S.Asiwal Ex.AGS P3, Com.OmPrakash ACS P4,AP  Circle, Com.S.Appalnaidu C/S R4 AP Circle, Com.D.Janardhan president Telangana Udyogula Sangam, Com.M.Namendar Gowd C/S Casual labour & Contingent Union, Com.SS.Mahadevaiah G/S addressed the open session.
                 Before the open session "PERINI SHIVA THANDAVAM" was exibited by the local artists an exlent and very good response was came from audience most of the circles presented cash awards to the artists. Com.B.Venkateswarulu General Secretary reception committee felistated all the guests with memontos. 
                The open session was successfully ended with vote of Thanks of Com. B.V.Rao, Asst.General Secretary.

CHQ welcomed new Secretary Post Ms. Kaveri Banerjee.
On 2nd June 2014 General Secretary S.S. Mahadevaiah and Treasurer Com. R.P. Diwakar, Ms. Kaveri Banerjee, newly assumed as Secretary Department of Posts. CHQ extended greetings and asked Secretary Cooperation for settlement of GDS issues.
Meeting with outgoing Secretary Post Smti. P. Gopinath.
General Secretary Com. S.S.Mahadevaiah, Com. B.V. Rao AGS and Com. Jairaj, Vice President Andra Pradesh AIGDSU met  Smti. Padmini Gopinath Secretary Department of Posts on 30th May 2014 in her chamber along with other postal board members. CHQ convey best wishes for her retirement life  and thank for her cooperation for settlement of GDS issues.
Meeting with Member (P), Shri. Kamlesh Chandra on 2nd June 2014.  
 General Secretary and other leaders met member (P) and requested for early settlement regarding GDS Strike Charter Demands. Member (P) assured that committee report has been  submitted. Some of the Orders will be issued very soon.

April CPI-IW at 242; DA hike from July 2014 likely at 7%

All-India Consumer Price Index Numbers For Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for April, 2014 has been announced by the Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour & Employment. The index now stands at 242, a rise of 3 points over the last month. The last month saw an increase of one point from the previous month.

With this, the figures are becoming more clear for the dearness allowance hike from July 2014. The hike will be approximately 7%, making the DA at 107% from July 2014. The figure may drop to 6% in-case there is nor changes in the index over next two months or there is a considerable dip, which is unlikely.

Comrade N.S. Murthy, former Divisional Secretary, P- 3, and Postal Leader Kurnool Division is no more.

Comrade N.S. Murthy, former Divisional Secretary, P- 3, and Postal Leader Kurnool Division    is no more.

This dedicated leader, with his everlasting guiding spirit of A.P. Circle, breathed his last on 28-05-2014 morning. His unmatchable wisdom, dedication, service to the postal community is unforgettable, He was fighting leader. His loss cannot be filled. 
We cannot forget Comrade N.S. Murthy veteran leader. He was 84 years old. His contribution before and after 1999 1st AIC of AIPEDEU guided our  union. He met many times General Secretary Com. S.S.Mahadevaiah and encourages GDS movement.   
Kurnool Postal Comrade Com. Laxmikanth ACS and Divisional Secretary and other postal leaders attended and paid homage to N.S. Murthy.
We Convey our heartfelt Condolence to his Family Members and Kurnool region postal comerades.

8th All India Conference venue was changed from Kakateeya University, Warangal to GREEN WOOD SCHOOL. Green wood school is located 13 kilometers from Warangal Railway station, 12 kilo meters from Khazipeta Railway Station and 7 Kilometers from Hanumakonda New Bus stand. Help line center will be arranged by reception committee at Warangal & Khazipeta Railway Stations. All our delegates and Visitors are requested to consult Help line Centre after getting down from the train. All the C.W.C. Members, Circle Secretaries, Divisional Secretaries, Branch Secretaries, Delegates and Visitors are requested to note this change.
